HUBRIS REFLECTED_ Our design for the mirror explores daily rituals and the essence behind why we do the things we do — in this case, the act of viewing one’s reflection and what it reveals about the viewer’s motivations — scrutiny or hubris? Vanity or insecurity?

Backed by a timber walnut base and faced with 2 contrasting toned electroplated metal sheets, the piece is designed to be viewed and enjoyed as an objet d'art, playfully sitting on the border between provocative art and practical design. The mirror’s dual tones and diagonal cut alludes to seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses as a position that cannot be sustained, thus begins to collapse onto itself.

The “Measure of Reflection” mirror was featured on the front cover of Wallpaper April 2015 issue. It was touted as one of the “shapeliest international design and architecture from Singapore".
