VERTICAL COMMUNITY_ The Nova Square Development for TA Global, is a 2 million square foot residential and service apartment project in Kuala Lumpur’s hip Jalan Bukit Bintang. With three interlocking towers rising beyond 80 storeys, it is slated to be amongst the tallest residential development in the region. The governing concept for the tower complex is the formation of a vertical village, where the public realm is expressed on the façade by carving the building’s volumes to create community spaces

Community spaces and facilities extend from the ground and works themselves continuously up to the various common terraces, culminating at the 80-something level roof top. Ranging from recreational and wellness activities, the vertical village s encourages interaction between residents and aims to foster a sense of community.

The external form is marked by its monochromatic material palette and reductive form-making, with each interlocking tower and cantilevered spaces suggesting a sense of dynamic equilibrium.
