Design Description:
Inspired by the indigenous tribal culture and the magnificent natural beauty of the land, the masterplan, landscape and architectural design for Indigo Taian has been choreographed to provide an escape from busy urban city center living. Nestled between a lush mountainside on one end of the site and a river on the other, the hotel compound will comprise a series of sculptural building forms - a main hotel block with public amenities, pools and rooms, several mid size family orientated buildings with rooms and recreational facilities, to a jewel-like stand alone onsen building. The design harnesses the surrounding views and climatic patterns (including rainwater harvesting), whilst celebrates the outdoor lifestyle with glamping grounds, vegetable gardens and nature trails. Cultural cues from indigenous tribal practices and symbols have also been integrated into the facade and architectural design concepts.
